Kenneth Williams, Sr., 80, of Cleveland, passed away Saturday, March 5, 2016 at his home. He was of Baptist faith. Mr. Williams was retired from the United States Army where he received the Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal and a Bronze Star.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John Wilson Williams and Violet Lockard Williams; son, Leonard Delane Williams, Sr. and brother, Richard Williams.
He is survived by his wife, Charlotte Williams of Cleveland; children, Kenneth Williams, Jr. and wife, Pam of Cleveland and Cindy Moore and husband, Kendall of Georgetown; four grandchildren, Leonard Delane Williams, Jr. (Regina), Amberly Broadwell (Trent), Sidney Curtis and Amanda Peedin (Andrew); nine great-grandchildren and two brothers, Evant James Butcher (Debbie) and Robert Butcher (Maxine).
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 8, 2016 in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with the Reverend John Underwood officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens with full military honors. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home on Monday, March 7, 2016.
