Mary Lou Davis

Mary Lou Davis, 78, of Ft. Lauderdale, FL and formerly of Georgetown where she resided for 40 years, died Sunday, April 03, 2016 in Hospice Care. She had resided in Ft. Lauderdale for the past three years. She loved the beach, visiting family and was also a big George Jones fan.  She loved taking walks and picking wild flowers off the side of the road.  She enjoyed working puzzles, going to movies and was very interested in cooking recipes.  She had a great love for animals.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill H. Davis; parents, Elmer and Velma Rush; her son, Gary L. Davis; brother, Walter Rush.

She is survived by her three sons: James M. Davis and wife, Lynn of Delano, John A. Davis of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, and Steve M. Davis and wife, DeAnna of Cleveland; five grandchildren: Chris Davis and wife, Christin, Dylan Davis, Nikki Davis, Megan Prichard and husband, Josh, and Mindy Hysinger and husband, Tanner; five great-grandchildren: Ella Davis, Rylan Hysinger, Aubree Hysinger, Jonas Prichard, and Emery Prichard; two brothers: Donnie Myers and wife, Donna and James (Butch) Rush all of MI; five sisters: Gloria Burdette, Penny Reed, Patricia Speck and husband, Donnie all of MI, Jean Swartz and Nancy Rush both of PA; several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 9, 2016 in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Pastor David Evans officiating. Interment will follow in McInturf Cemetery with Chris Davis, Dylan Davis, Dave Armour, Josh Prichard, Tanner Hysinger, and David Davis serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearer will be Jonas Prichard.

The family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
