Erna Lee Dixon, 77, a lifelong resident of Cleveland, passed away Friday, May 27, 2016 in a local hospital. She was a member of Mount Olive Ministries. She was an avid bowler, loved working crossword puzzles, and was a Tennessee and NASCAR fan.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 53 years, Charles E. Dixon; parents, Bryan Plott, Sr., and Maggie Davis Plott; brothers, Freddy Plott, Jessie Plott, and Bryan Plott, Jr.; and sisters, Billie Ruth Nowlin and Juanita Plott.
She is survived by one son, Mark Dixon and wife Robin of Cleveland; three grandchildren, Misty Caldwell and Michael Lamb, Tabitha Dodson and husband Randall, and Shelby Bishop; four great grandchildren, Isaiah Caldwell, Malachi Caldwell, Nehemiah Caldwell, and Grace Lin Annette Dodson; five sisters, Jean Henderson of Lampasas. TX, Sharon Wurst of Conyers, GA, Brenda Brown of, Guntersville, GA, Maurine Hawkins of Chattanooga, Glenda Welch of Georgetown; and brother, Marvin Plott of Ooltewah; special friend, Sue Hickman; and several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 31, 2016 at Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Reverend Gary Sears officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens with Michael Lamb, Randall Dodson, Isaiah Caldwell, Malachi Caldwell, Tom Hickman, and Tony Rayfield serving as pallbearers. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, May 30, 2016 at the funeral home.
