Denise Veazey

Denise Veazey, age 59 of Hopkinsville passed away 3:40 AM, Monday, July 4, 2016 at her residence of natural causes.

Denise was born September 11, 1956 in Birmingham, AL the daughter of AE “Gene” and Phyllis Price Veazey of Ooltewah, TN. Her MS Disability prompted her early retirement from the insurance business in the early 80’s and she became a motivational speaker for many different organizations and was also a Mary Kay Rep. She attended the Seventh Day Adventist Church on Pyle Lane, a member and exhibitor of the Hopkinsville Art Guild, a board of director of the Hopkinsville YMCA and a volunteer at Jennie Stuart Medical Center.

She was a graduate of MTSU class of 1979 and was also a member of Who’s –Who of America in 1979.

Survivors include besides her parents, her husband of 16 years, Jim Wille of Hopkinsville, two brothers, Gary Veazey and his wife, Kathy of Germantown, TN and Douglas Veazey and his wife Rachel of Cleveland, TN; three nephews, Martin Veazey of Germantown, TN,

Benjamin Veazey of Cleveland, TN and Michael Veazey of Knoxville, TN; one niece, Katherine Veazey Flinn of Memphis, TN.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 4:00 p.m. Saturday, July 23, 2016 at the Bowman Hills Seventh-day Adventist Church with Pastor Ken Rogers officiating.

The family will receive friends from 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Saturday at the church prior to the service.
