Lloyd Edgar "Eddie" Lewis, Sr.

Eddie Lewis, Sr., 67, a lifelong resident of Ooltewah, passed away Tuesday, July 5, 2016 in a Chattanooga hospital. He was a member of Ooltewah Church of Christ. He was a sergeant with the United States Air Force serving from to 1968 to 1972.

He loved to fish, hunt and work in his garden. He loved spending time with his family. He had a special sense of humor and loved making others laugh with his jokes. He also loved Tennessee football.

Eddie was the son of the late Lloyd James Lewis and Hazel W. Lewis and was also preceded in death by his sister, Glenda Foy.

He is survived by his wife, Debbie Lewis of Ooltewah; two children, Lloyd Edgar Lewis, Jr. “Eddie” and wife, Lori of Jacksonville, Florida and Melissa Lewis Stultz of Soddy Daisy, TN; three grandchildren, Brooke Lewis, Trinity Lewis, and Liam Lewis all of Jacksonville, Florida; sister, Eleanor Coffee and husband, Jimmy; brothers. David Lewis, and wife, Lynn and Robert Lewis and wife, Jeanette; several nieces and nephews also survive.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 4:00 p.m. Saturday, July 9, 2016 at the Ooltewah Church of Christ.
