Emma "Faye" Nichols

June 17, 1931 — July 11, 2016

Emma “Faye” Nichols, 85, resident of Cleveland, passed away Monday, July 11, 2016 in Hospice of Chattanooga. She was a member of Blue Springs Baptist Church. She was retired form Hickory Springs Manufacturing after several years of employment. She was devoted to her little pug dog “Gus”.

 

She was the daughter of the late Colonel C. and Eunice Stephenson Nichols. She was also preceded in death by five sisters: Jewel Nichols, Gussie Davis, Willie Gurley, Louise White and Pearl Swafford; two brothers: Glenn Nichols and James Nichols.

 

Survivors include one brother, Charles E. Nichols of Chattanooga, TN; several nieces and nephews.

 

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Thursday, July 14, 2016 in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Reverend Richard Snyder officiating. Interment will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, July 15, 2016 at Old Salem Baptist Church Cemetery in Delano, TN with Danny Nichols, Travis White, Trey White, Jeremy White, Justin White and Kevin Tinsley serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Steve Swafford, Eddie Nichols, Jerry White, Jimmy White and Boyd Davis. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service.

 

The family will receive friends on Thursday from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home prior to the service.
