Melissa Anne Casteel, 39, a lifelong resident of Cleveland, passed away Tuesday, July 19, 2016 at the family residence. She was a member of Michigan Avenue Church of God where she and her husband, Joe were associate pastors. She loved to shop, decorate and design, as well as taking care of her yorkie, Mr. Bates. She was employed with Cigna Health Care as a project analyst.
Mrs. Casteel was the daughter of the late John “Max” Worley and Mary Johnson Worley.
She is survived by her husband, Joe Casteel of Cleveland; one sister, Terri McDowell Royal and husband, Jim of Ft. Oglethorpe, GA; three brothers, Mark Clark, Rex Worley and wife, Denise, and Steve Worley all of Chattanooga; mother-in-law, Paulette Casteel and sister-in-law, Tammy Estrada and husband Noe; best friend, Christa Murray; several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be conducted at 6:00 p.m. Friday, July 22, 2016 in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Reverend John Franklin, Reverend Audrey Upton, and Reverend Adam Jones officiating. Interment will follow in Corinth Baptist Church Cemetery with Willie Garth, Dustin McDowell, Jonathan Winnegrad, Jonathan Cain, Derek McDowell, and Stephen Worley serving as pallbearers. Xavier McDowell will serve as honorary pallbearer.
The family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home prior to the service.
