Ellis Suits, Sr.

Ellis Terrell Suits, Sr., 89, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Wednesday, August 10, 2016 in a local healthcare facility. He was retired from Gulf Oil after many years of service. He was a veteran of the United States Army serving in WWII.

Mr. Suits was the son of the late Claude Suits and Nettie King Suits and was also preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters.

He is survived by his loving wife of 69 years, Velma Inez Lawson Suits of Cleveland; son, Ellis Suits, Jr. and wife, Linda; four grandchildren: Marquetta Whalbring of Shelbyville, Indiana, Angela Bradford, Sarah Baig , and Kenny Jones , Jr all of Cleveland; six great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; one brother, Charles Suits of Cohutta, GA; several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, August 14, 2016 in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Reverend David West officiating. Interment will follow in Hilcrest Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Saturday, August 13, 2016 at the funeral home.
