Huland Lett

Huland Lett, 89, of Cleveland, passed away on Tuesday, September 06, 2016 at the family residence. Huland was in the United States Navy during World War II. He was retired from Bowater Newsprint having worked there 46 years. He was a member of Michigan Avenue Baptist Church.

Huland was born February 1, 1927 in Clay County, Alabama.

He was preceded in death by his parents, J.B. and Littie Shultz Lett; his loving wife of 64 years, Dorothy Hudson Lett; brothers, Gene Lett, Fred Lett, Paul Lett and Dale Lett all of Alabama.

Huland is survived by his son, Roy (Patricia) Lett of Benton; son, Robert (Susan) Lett of Simpson, SC; grandson, Jason Lett, granddaughter, Amanda (William) Bates, grandson, Ryan Lett, granddaughter, Ashley (Judson) Subar, grandson, Cody Lett, grandson, Morgan (Kati) Lett, great-grandchildren, Logan Bates, Gavin Lett, Atticus Lett and Emery Lett; sisters, Iva Lee Brooks, Lila Clark, ad Gale Nolan all of Alabama; brother-in-law, Marvin (Clara) Hudson; sister-in-law, Nancy Hudson.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Friday, September 9, 2016 at the Michigan Avenue Baptist Church. Interment will follow in the Michigan Avenue Baptist Church Cemetery with a white dove release ceremony concluding the service.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, September 8, 2016 at Ralph Buckner Funeral Home.
