Gale Tillis Frazier

Gale Tillis (GT) Frazier, age 81, went home to meet his Lord and Savior Thursday, September 8, 2016 at his home surrounded by his loving family by his side.

He was an entrepreneur, carpenter, mechanic, electrician, plumber but most of all he was a dad who loved his boys. He was the owner of Frazier Property Rentals. He retired from Volunteer Army Ammunition. He also served in the United States Marine Corp. where he was an expert rifleman and sharp shooter at Paris Island, SC.

He was very involved in his family’s stock car racing for many years. He enjoyed working on their cars. His garage became a well known hangout for their racing friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents Leonard and Lela Frazier, his sisters and their spouses Lanell Thompson and husband Horace, Reba Collett and husband Homer, Imogene Still and husband Cotton, and brother-in-law Homer Ownby.

Survivors include his sons; Tim Frazier and wife Jeanette, and Keith “Shorty” Frazier. His surviving grandchildren are Catherine Frazier of Chattanooga, and Jennifer Jenkins, Keith Gregg, and Seth Gregg of Cleveland. He is also survived by one great grandson, Braxton Brooks of Chattanooga, one sister, Oleta Ownby, along with several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will held on Monday September 12, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Reverend Charles Hollifield officiating and Sonya Rymer ministering in music. Interment will follow at Moore’s Chapel Cemetery. Pallbearers will include Brent Collett, Tillis Ownby, Havard Still, Gerald Still, Dexter Collett, Bill McCall, Gary Rymer, Kenny Pierce, Keith Gregg and Seth Gregg.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. on Sunday September 11, 2016 at Ralph Buckner Funeral Home.
