Charles William Hysinger, 85, a lifelong resident of Cleveland, passed away Sunday, October 2, 2016 in a Chattanooga hospital surrounded by his loving family. He was a member of Waterville Baptist Church. He was retired from Magic Chef after 42 years of service. He was a veteran of the United States Army where he served in the Korean War.
Mr. Hysinger was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Ruth Hall Hysinger; sister, Dorothy Allison ; brother, Kenneth Hysinger; two great-grandchildren, Delaney Goins and Easton Smith; his parents, Morgan Hysinger and Ethel Woody Hysinger.
He is survived by his two children: Rebecca Goins and husband, David, and Cynthia Placek all of Cleveland; grandchildren: Brittany Goins Mantooth and husband, Jon, Piper Goins Hill and husband, Jake, Courtney Goins Harris and husband, Shane, David Tanner Goins and wife, Kerri, Cayci Goins Smith and husband, Kent, Chantz Placek and Chandlar Placek all of Cleveland; great-grandchildren: Jon Bryant, Caitlyn, and Brandon Mantooth, Blake Hanna, Knox, Kason, and Jase Hill, Hannah Goins, Bristol, Kennedy, Kendall, and Kamden Harris, Landon and Hadley Goins, Catcher and Brooklyn Smith; sister, Sue Fortner and husband, David.
Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 5, 2016 in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Minister Richard Lesniewski officiating. Interment will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, October 6, 2016 at Sunset Memorial Gardens with military honors. Pallbearers will be Jon Mantooth, Chantz Placek, Jake Hill, Shane Harris, Kent Smith, David Tanner Goins, and Jon Bryant Mantooth. Honorary pallbearers will be Chuck Greer, Carson Lawson, Victor Hicks, Johnny Holden, Trace Pierce, Lebron Hysinger, Dane Thompson, Dennis Parker, and Brent Mathews. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 4-7 p.m. at the funeral home prior to the service.
