Walter Ray Carson

December 17, 1957 — November 6, 2016

Walter Ray Carson, 58, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Sunday, November 6, 2016 in a healthcare facility.  He was a lifelong resident of Bradley County and had previously attended Chestuee United Methodist Church.  He loved to trade horses and mules, and enjoyed wagon riding.

He was preceded in death by his parents, George “Short” Walter Carson and Dorothy Ruth Bain Carson; and brother, David Carson.

He is survived by two children, Tina Carson Swanson and Karyn Trentham, both of Cleveland; five grandchildren, Autumn Raine Swanson, Lucas Carson Swanson, Shilah Dawn Martin, Ryan Edward Rogers, and Aaliyah Kaylynn Trentham; and one great grandchild.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 8, 2016 at the funeral home prior to the service.

Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 8, 2016, in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Pastor David Rapson officiating.  Interment will be at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 9, 2016 at Chilcutt Cemetery with Wayne Burgess, Kevin Burgess, Joel Swanson, Jonathan Sederquist, and Tanner Burk serving as pallbearers.  The funeral procession will leave the funeral home at 2:00 p.m. going to Chilcutt Cemetery.
