Clyde W. (Bill) Thomason, 87, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Thursday, November 10, 2016 at home. He was a member of First United Methodist Church and former owner of WBAC and WALV radio stations. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He loved technology, electronics, and all sorts of gadgets. He was a man full of life with a good business mind. He enjoyed his family but mostly he enjoyed entertaining his great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Oscar T. Thomason and Lucille Battle Thomason.
He is survived by his wife Jo Thomason; daughter Charlotte Selvidge and husband Alvin of Ooltewah, TN; two grandchildren, Kali LaDuke and husband Jarred, Katie Hamilton and husband Daniel; four great grandchildren, Anna LaDuke, Raegen LaDuke; Mae LaDuke, and Lela Hamilton; and special niece, Cathy Marinan.
Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. Monday, November 14, 2016, in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Reverend Steve Hartline officiating. A private interment will be held at a later date at the Chattanooga National Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Monday prior to the service.
