Donna Gail Whitener

Donna Gail Whitener, 50, a lifelong resident of Cleveland, passed away on Tuesday, November 15, 2016 at her residence.

 She was a member of Philippi Baptist Church.  She was employed at Advanced Photographic.  She loved taking care of her dog, Jazzy, and also all things Disney.  She loved the outdoors and particularly going to Cades Cove with her family.  She was an avid face book follower and was passionate about helping the homeless.

 She was preceded in death by her father, William Henry Whitener; brother, William Larry Whitener and also her step dad, Billy Franklin Bishop.

 Survivors include her mother, Esther Whitener Bishop of Cleveland; sister, Sherry Lynn Whitener of Cleveland; step sister, Cindy Park of Benton, TN and step brother, Jeff Bishop of Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri; several aunts, uncles, and cousins also survive.

 Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, November 18, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at the New Zion Baptist Church in Farner, TN with Reverend Jim Caywood and Reverend Timmy Joe Hemming officiating.  Interment will follow in the New Zion Baptist Church Cemetery with a white dove release ceremony concluding the service.

 The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. Thursday, November 17, 2016 at Ralph Buckner Funeral Home. She will also lie in state one hour prior to the service at the church.
