Bruce Elton Schrock

Bruce Elton Schrock, 51, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Sunday, November 20, 2016 in a local hospital.  He was a member of New Beginning Fellowship where he taught the men’s Sunday school class and was also a drummer for Wednesday evening services.  He was employed with Magic Chef/Whirlpool for 27 years and had been employed with Volkswagen of Chattanooga for the past 7 years.  He was a veteran of the United States Air Force and the Air National Guard.

He loved his family, God and his country.  He was a Harley and automotive enthusiast.  He was also a member of Phi Thetta Kappa.  He was the proudest “Poppie” ever for his “little lady bug” Callie whom he loved with all his heart.

Mr. Schrock was preceded in death by his father, Herman Earl Schrock; grandparents, Roman and “MaMaw” Schrock; Joe and Vina Martin; brother-in-law and best friend, Danny Glover and uncle, Lloyd Taylor.

Bruce is survived by his beloved wife of 30 years Amber Schrock; mother, Helen Bain and husband, Terry Bain; son, Bruce Aaron Schrock and wife, Lindsey of Sacramento, CA; one grandchild, Callie Rachelle Schrock who was the light of his life; one sister, Marqueta Bates; one brother, Gregory Scott Cook and wife, Lori; brother-in-law, John and wife Delores Glover; many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, November 26, 2016 at the New Beginning Fellowship Church.  Interment will follow in New Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery with military honors.  A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service.

The family will receive friends from 6-9 p.m. Friday, November 25, 2016 at Ralph Buckner Funeral Home and also from 1-2 p.m. at New Beginning Fellowship Church prior to the service.
