Linda Skelton

Linda Skelton Young, 73, a lifelong resident of Cleveland, Tn.  , passed away Sunday, February 19, 2017 at a local Senior Living Facility .

 She loved gospel music and traveling.  She was a beautician and also was a substitute teacher for the Bradley County School System before she started driving a school bus.    

Mrs. Young was preceded in death by her first husband, Watis Eugene “Slim” Skelton, who passed away in 1999, and her second husband, George Wright “G.W.” Young, who passed away in 2010.  She was also preceded in death by her parents, Clint Dunn and Nina Lacy Dunn; and her sister, Dortha Mull.

She is survived by her two daughters and sons-in-law, Tina and Gregory Grabus of Raleigh, N.C., and Tammie and Kevin  Owensby of Cleveland; two grandchildren, Kayla Owensby and Tanner Owensby both of Cleveland; one sister, Peggy Morrison.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Friday, February 24, 2017 in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home.  Interment will follow in Hilcrest Memorial Gardens. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Thursday, February 23, 2017 at the funeral home.
