Helen Aileen Collins, 71, passed away Saturday, February 25, 2017 at her Athens, TN, residence. She had lived in Cleveland her entire life before moving to Athens. She was a member of Chestuee Baptist Church and had worked at Hardwick Farms for many years as a housekeeper and cook. She was known as a hard worker and a great cook. She always had dogs as pets and loved them dearly.
She was preceded in death by her husband of almost 50 years, Cas Collins; parents, William Moore and Leva Buchannon Moore; two children, William Clarence Collins and James Alfred (Al) Collins; and one brother, Jessie Moore.
She is survived by one daughter, Mary Ann Goodwin of Cleveland; two grandchildren, Brogen Christine Goodwin and McKinley Taylor Goodwin; two brothers, George Moore and Chester Moore; one daughter-in-law, Donna Foley; and caretaker, Sue Stapp.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
