Carrie Ann McAmis

Carrie Ann McAmis, 100, of Forest, formerly of Cleveland, TN died Monday, February 27, 2017 at Noah’s Landing in Goode, VA.

Carrie was born on September 14, 1916 in Cleveland, TN a daughter of the late Frederick Carl Lindner and Cleo Gallaher Lindner. She was the wife of the late James Willoughby McAmis. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a son Michael McAmis.

She is survived by her daughter Carolyn Hughes and her husband Darel “D.C.” Hughes of Forest, VA, one daughter-in-law, Nancye McAmis of Columbia, SC; 5 grandchildren: Greg Hughes, David Hughes, Lori Hughes Snead, Linda Hughes Hackenbracht, and Savannah McAmis; 12 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, March 8, 2017 at Ralph Buckner Funeral Home. A graveside service will follow at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 8, 2017 at Sunset Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Ramon D. Torres, III officiating.
