Elizabeth Vaught Hall of Cleveland, TN, passed into glory on Sunday, March 19, 2017.
She was the daughter of the late W.B. & Harriet Vaught of Chattanooga.
She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Darrell Hall; daughter:
Deborah Cross; and sons: Christopher Hall, Phillip Hall, and Mark Hall; four grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.
She was cherished by her family, friends, co-workers and pets, along with the occasional stray.
Through her musical & artistic talents, she brought beauty into the lives of everyone around her, at home, at church, and elsewhere. She graduated from Tyner High School in Chattanooga in 1957, and was voted "Most Talented" by her classmates. Her children remember pleading with her to play songs on her accordion or the piano. She was known among fellow church members for her striking instrumental and vocal talents.
She volunteered for a time at Memorial Hospital in Chattanooga, offering a smile from behind the cancer ward desk and piano tunes in the lobby as part of their musical therapy program.
She enjoyed creating crafts and learning new artistic skills. She was a voracious reader and was a regular visitor at the local library. She loved to laugh, and could find humor even in the worst of circumstances.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 26 at 2pm, followed by a memorial service at 3pm, both in the sanctuary of Big Spring Baptist Church at 1415 Hardwick Street in Cleveland.
