Lois R. Ballinger, a resident of Bradley County since 1962, passed away Tuesday, March 21, 2017 at Tennova Healthcare. Mrs. Ballinger was a retired nurse and a member of First Church of the Nazarene. She loved her church, her family and most of all her Savior, Jesus Christ.
Mrs. Ballinger was preceded in death by her parents, W.A. Robinson and Artie Mae Loftis Robinson; husband, Rev. J.C. Ballinger; son, Andy Ballinger; sister, Kathleen Scroggins; and granddaughter, Candace Murray.
She is survived by son, John Paul Ballinger of Nashville; daughters, Joy Grace Ballinger of Cleveland, and Janet Faith Murray (Chris) of Harrison; brother, Dub Robinson (Ruth) of Nashville; and sister, Mae Palmer (Sonny), of North Carolina. She is also survived by ten grandchildren; several great grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and other extended family.
Funeral Services will be conducted at 2:00 pm Saturday, March 25, 2017 in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Brother Russell Coffey officiating. Interment will immediately follow at Greenwood Cemetery in Chattanooga. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service.
The family will receive friends 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm Friday at the funeral home.
