Juanita Frank Kocsis

August 12, 1922 — March 29, 2017

Juanita Frank Kocsis, 94, passed away Wednesday, March 29 2017 at The Lantern at Morning Pointe in Chattanooga.  Born in Strongsville OH, Mrs. Kocsis moved to Cleveland TN in 1992.  She was a member of Tasso United Methodist Church where she was very active on the church board and taught Sunday School for many years.  After retiring, Mrs. Kocsis was active in the local Ruritan Club, Habitat for Humanity, the National Association of Retired Federal Employees (NARFE), the Selma AL Historical Society, the American Business Women’s Association, and was also very active both as a troop leader and at the district level for the Girl Scouts of America.  As a military wife and retiree she enjoyed being able to travel and live throughout the entire world.  Her family was her passion and she poured her life into her children and grandchildren.

 

Mrs. Kocsis was preceded in death by her husbands, Ralph W. Frank and Frank C. Kocsis; her parents, Dallas L. Lloyd and Irene Mae Miller; sons, Ralph D. “Sandy” Frank, and Michael L. Frank; and daughter, JoAnne Neri.

 

She is survived by her daughter, Susan Kuemmel and husband, Jim of New Orleans; step-daughter, Bonnie Cooper and husband, Dan of Ohio; step-son, Bruce Kocsis of Akron Oh; grandchildren Craig Neri and wife Donna, Michael Neri, Sandi Taylor and husband Jason, James Kuemmel, Lynne Kuemmel, Chris Kuemmel and wife Ali, Nikki Neri; numerous step-grandchildren; great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

 

Funeral Services will be conducted at 3:00 pm Saturday, April 8, 2017 at Tasso United Methodist Church with Pastor Sean G. Hayden and Reverend Jason Taylor officiating.  Interment will be held at 2:00 pm Monday, April 10, 2017 at New Live Oak Cemetery in Selma, AL. 

 

The family will receive friends 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm Saturday at Tasso United Methodist Church.

 

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Tasso United Methodist Church, 1106 Tasso Ln NE, Cleveland, TN 37312 or Habitat for Humanity, 300 Grove Ave NW, Cleveland, TN 37311.
