Wilma Neyman Smith

January 31, 1927 — April 14, 2017

Wilma Neyman Smith, 90, of Cleveland, passed away Friday, April 14, 2017 in a Cleveland healthcare facility.  A retiree from the Knox County Registrar of Deeds Office, Mrs. Smith loved flowers, gospel music, and especially her grandchildren.  She was of the Baptist faith.

 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Cirby Benjamin Dixon and Ella Savannah Watkins Dixon; husbands, Homer Marion Neyman and Lester A. Smith; siblings, Rubye O’Daniel, Walter Dixon, Paul Dixon, Carl Dixon, Edna Maher, Fannie Leek and Ortha Smith.

 

She is survived by her children, Jamesie Neyman (Shirley) of Cleveland, Glenn Neyman (Janice) of Cleveland, and Shelvia Jean Neyman of Hixson; grandchildren, Mike Neyman, Michelle Neyman, Greg Neyman, Christopher Neyman, and Kely Woods.  She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

 

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 18, 2017 in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Reverend Wallace Varnell officiating.  Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens with the Ocoee Ranger Cowboys, Terry Jones, Rich Leonard, Michael York, Dave Moser, Rich Appeldoorn, and Lynn Blankenship serving as pallbearers.  A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service.

 

The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 18, 2017 at the funeral home.
