Jimmy Ray "Pop" Williams

March 30, 1935 — February 22, 2018

Jimmy Ray “Pop” Williams, 82, a resident of Cleveland, went to his heavenly home on Thursday, February 22, 2018.

He was born on March 30, 1935 to the late Ellia and Lillie Williams.  He was a faithful worker and true man of God.  He was a retired truck driver of 40 years, and also drove the church bus for many years.  He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.  He loved to pick his guitar and listen to Bluegrass music.  He loved his family, friends, and Jesus.  He never met a stranger and was loved by many people. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 32 years Hilda Williams; brothers, Lester Williams, Kenneth Williams, John Henry Williams; and son Ricky Heifnar.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his children, Sherry and Bill Cranfield, Gloria Keel and Scott Kilgore; Johnny and Mary Heifnar, and Karen Villalobos; siblings, Mack Williams, Margaret Pierce, Earl Williams, and Retha Odom; grandchildren, Kristy and Kody Fox, Kevin and Jamie McSpadden, April and Justin Thomas, Ashley and Christopher Headrick, Ashley Dees, Alex Dees, Shelly and Sherman Gladson; great grandchildren, Dakota, Chloe, Jaxon,  Myles, Baby Headrick, Cody, and Mariah.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February 27, 2018 in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Pastor Samuel Burger and Reverend Darren Fansler officiating.  Interment will follow at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church Cemetery with full military honors.  Kevin McSpadden, Cody Gladson, Alex Dees, Justin Thomas, Christopher Headrick, and Kody Fox will serve as pallbearers; and Scott Kilgore, Sherman Gladson, Bill Cranfield, and Dakota Thomas will serve as honorary pallbearers.  The service will conclude with a white dove release ceremony and the playing of bagpipes.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, February 26, 2018 at the funeral home.
