Myra Combs Woody McKenzie

Myra Combs Woody McKenzie, 79, a native and lifelong resident of Bradley County, passed away Friday, April 27, 2018 in an Athens healthcare facility.  She attended Eastview Baptist Church and most recently she attended Brittsville Baptist Church.  Myra was a real estate broker for many years and she enjoyed, sewing, cooking and taking care of others.

She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Elgie Delaney Combs; first husband, Bob Woody and second husband, Hubert McKenzie; several siblings and her son, Robert Woody.

She is survived by her children, Roberta Brianne of Georgetown, Phyllis Scott of Cleveland, Edna Scott (Don) of Cleveland, Eva Gates of Cleveland, Betty Boring (Earl) of McDonald and Connie Riddle of Cleveland; eleven grandchildren; twenty-two great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren; sister Corrine Green (Sherman) of Cleveland and several nieces, nephews and other extended family.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 29, 2018 in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Brother Homer Roberts and Brother Jimmy Long officiating.  Interment will follow in Earls Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. on
Sunday at the funeral home prior to the service.
