Gregory Lee Albritton, 58, of Cleveland, passed away Saturday, July 7, 2018, at his residence. He was born in McMinn County and had lived in Cleveland since 1983. He was a 1977 graduate of McMinn Central High School and a 1982 graduate of Tennessee Tech with a degree in Civil/Structural Engineering. He loved whitewater canoeing, rock climbing, backpacking, and camping “alone in the winter.”
He is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Melinda Gray Albritton; children, Josh Albritton and wife Jessica of Ooltewah and Rachel Cupp and husband Shawn of Knoxville; father, Zane Albritton of Athens; mother, Sammie Jean Albritton of Benton; and one brother, Jeff Albritton of Etowah.
There will be a gathering of friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 10, 2018 at Ralph Buckner Funeral Home.
