Lillie Brewer Hicks

Lillie Pauline Brewer Hicks, 82, of Cleveland, passed away Monday, September 3, 2018 in local healthcare facility.  She was of Baptist faith.

She was the daughter of the late, Thomas J. Brewer and Lora Morris Brewer. She was preceded in death by her husband, Curtis Lloyd Hicks; two brothers, Earl Brewer and John Brewer and sister Viola Brewer.

She is survived by her children,   Curtis Hicks and wife, Wilma of Cleveland and Gail McClure and husband, Rex of Cleveland; three grandchildren, Pamela Smith and husband, Jason, Maria Rayfield and husband, Matt, Curtis Ray Hicks and wife, Rochelle, all of Cleveland; great-granddaughter, Cheyanne Hedges of Cleveland and siblings, Minnie Brewer and James Brewer, both of Cleveland.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 6, 2018 at West Cleveland Baptist Church with the Reverend David Disney and the Reverend Matt Ward officiating.  Interment will follow in Boanerges Cemetery with Curtis Ray Hicks, Rochelle Hicks, Matt Rayfield, Dickie Painter, Ralph Chase and Doyle Hawkins serving as pallbearers.  A white dove release ceremony and the playing of bagpipes will conclude the service.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 5, 2018 at Ralph Buckner Funeral Home.
