Albert Eugene "Gene" Weaver

Albert Eugene “Gene” Weaver, 80, of Cleveland, passed away Monday, April 29, 2019 at his home surrounded by his family.  He loved the Lord and was a loving husband, dad and papa.  Gene was a veteran of the United States Army and the Army National Guard.   He attended East Cleveland Baptist Church.  Gene loved woodworking and spending time with his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William Emory Weaver and Nellie Mae Darnell Weaver.

Survivors include his wife, Sandra Brown Weaver of Cleveland; number one daughter, Lynn Perdue and husband, John of Cleveland; son, Wayne Burdette and wife, Carla of Lawrenceburg, TN; children, John Weaver, Nellie (Tommy) Haulk and Janet Myers; grandchildren, Dakota Deeter, Austin Deeter and Liam Burdette; and great grandchildren, Olivia Deeter, Cory Deeter and Joseph Weaver.

The funeral will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, May 3, 2019 in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Brother Joe Lockman and Duane Hamby officiating.  Interment will follow in Hilcrest Memorial Gardens with military honors.  John Thomason, Joe Davis, Stanley Goodwin, Steve Goodwin, James Peters, Dan Falls and Bob Hannah will serve as pallbearers. The service will conclude with a white dove release ceremony and the playing of bagpipes.

His family will receive friends 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.
