Felmet L. Eaves, 91, of Calhoun, tragically and unexpectedly passed away Friday, July 12, 2019. He was a United States Army Veteran and was ranked Corporal. He served two tours in Germany. He was an expert marksman. He was a member of Calhoun First Baptist Church. He loved gardening and deep-sea fishing.
He was preceded in death by his wife Fannie Isabelle Eaves, parents Felmet Leonard Eaves Sr. and Ada Gussie Guffey Eaves; sister Grace Ann Brown; brother William “Bill” Eaves.
He is survived by his children Christina Eaves of Athens, Steve Liner (Kathy) of Cleveland; granddaughter Isabella Koons (Dylan) of Cleveland; 4 great-grandchildren; sister Ruth Green of Charleston; dear friends Jerry Duncan and his wife Cindy; several nieces and nephews also survive.
A graveside service will be held at 4:30 p.m. on Monday, July 15, 2019 at Calhoun Community Cemetery with Reverend Jay McClusky officiating.
